Guru Dutt (July 9, 1925 - October 10, 1964)
Born as Vasanth Kumar Shivashankar Padukone, this Indian film director, producer and actor gave Bollywood a treasure of movies that are still cherished. This legendary persona started his career as a telephone operator in Kolkatta and later entered the film industry with the movie Chand in 1944 where he played a small role. Some of his masterpieces include Pyaasa, Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam, Chaudhvin Ka Chand and Baaz.
Due to his personal issues with his wife, reports suggest that there were chances that Dutt committed suicide by mixing sleeping pills and alcohol. However, his family claims that it was just an accident. -

Varsha Bhosle, Daughter of renowned singer Asha Bhosle committed suicide in 2012, as she shot herself at her residence in Mumbai. Varsha was a professional Hindi and Bhojpuri playback singer and a writer too. She apparently had a rough married life and had attempted suicide earlier in 2008 as well.
VJ and actress Nafisa Joseph hanged herself in 2004 in her Mumbai flat. She was engaged to businessman Gautam Khanduja but her marriage was called off. Her parents claim this to be the reason of her suicide. Despite her family filing a case against Gautam, none of the allegations were confirmed. -

The once upon a time Queen of Hearts Divya Bharti, started her career with Telugu movie Bobbili Raja opposite Daggubati Venkatesh. But making a mark in the multi-starrer Vishwatma, she went places and acted with biggies like Suniel Shetty and Govinda. Her role in Deewana starring Rishi Kapoor and Shah Rukh earned her a lot of appreciation.
However, while earning all the fame, Bharti died mysteriously as she fell off from a five-storey Tulsi apartment in Versova, Mumbai. While it was termed to be a suicide, some still claimed it to be a murder. However, nothing was confirmed. -
