The last day of the IBFW 2013 rounded off with designer Tarun Tahiliani's and AZVA jewelry by World Gold Council's pristine collection. The grand finale witnessed youthful Alia Bhatt making her runway debut in a gold dust sleeveless gown highlighting a draped waist knot and a waist cut-out fancified with a relaxed up do and soft makeup on Day 6. The babe's jewels consisted of a gold cuff and a layered neckpiece inspired from the tradition of saat pheras of Hindu marriage.
While she doesn't really resemble the typical Indian bride, she manages to be the elegant one!
Lisa Haydon showcased Tarun Tahiliani's collection focused on 'lightness' during the Grand Finale of Bridal fashion Week in a heavily sequined silver lehenga ensemble accentuated with matching hand and head accessories, a tight coiffure and a bold magenta pout.
Apart from the usual dress-up, what made her stand out from the other brides was her sheer dupatta draped on her head. It really evoked the feel of the forgotten ghunghat trend. -

Mr. Kapoor can definitely flatter his bride in this refined, gentleman look!
Chitrangda Singh pepped up in a red and gold embroidered lehenga ensemble from Suneet Varma's collection 'The Golden Bracelet' at the fashion spectacle. Inspired by the lifestyle of Pompeii and designed in the themes of romance, longing and wedding, the look was accentuated with the classic red, the sheer tulle dupatta, the petite bodice and the heavily embellished gold lehenga and finished with side-swept tresses, barely there accessories and make-up.
Chitrangda made us go gaga over her look! Call us orthodox, but we still feel nothing beats the classic red bride. -
Jacqueline Fernandez, the Brand Ambassador of Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week showcased the designs of Jyotsna Tiwari on the ramp in a strapless pink bridal gown featuring gold embroidery at the bottom and a waist-high slit in the middle revealing ankle length skin- fit pants. She paired the modern-day attire with side-swept curly locks, blings and a gorgeous baby pink pout.
We love the beauties' unconventional modern-day bridal gown paired with the not-so-matching blue eye-makeup.
Esha Gupta walked the ramp for designer Adarsh Gill at the fashion extravaganza in a heavily sequined crimson and gold lehenga with red stone studded accessories, a relaxed knot and rouge makeup.
We loved the pick of color (since red is quite the bride's thing), the subtle makeup, the bold pairing of silver jewelry with the lehenga's gold work and the sheer sangria dupatta draped on the head like a veil. -

The babe perked up her ethnic look with side-swept wavy hair, neutral makeup, drop-down matching earrings and a side jhoomar.
Although we are not a big fan of the shimmery lehenga but we quite love the modern v-neck jacket-blouse.
Neha Dhupia was the showstopper for designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock's 'Garden of Eden' collection at the fashion spectacle. And unlike everyone playing safe with the delicate, dainty bride, Neha took the gothic way in a multicolor Chantilly lace layered gown embellished with a waist-high metal belt. Keeping up with the darkness she styled with tousled hair and Smokey eyes.
Quite an intriguing look! -

Interestingly, this time it was not the models but bollywood celebrities who took the took the glamour quotient to a whole new level.
The first day of Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week (AVIBFW) witnessed Kangna Ranaut oozing oodles of glamour on the ramp in her dramatic bridal wear by JJ Valaya consisting of a navy blue halter neck choli flaunting ample cleavage and a spectacular multicolored floor sweeping lehenga graciously accentuated with stone studded accessories and a turban. The makeup was subtle to allow the ensemble speak for itself!
Sonam Kapoor represented Rohit Bal's ethnic creations titled 'The Mulmul Masquerade' on day four of IBFW. The hottie flaunted her curvaceous figure in a printed off-white lehenga-bodice creation featuring a bronze hemline and kaju prints accentuated with chunky kundan jewelry, a ravishing jhoomar at the side of her head, smoky-eyes and rosy lips while Bollywood songs from the 1950s and 1960s played in the background.
It is definitely a jaw-dropping look!
