With congratulatory messages and tweets pouring in Madhur took to twitter again thanking all his well-wishers, while at the same time a sharing more images, this time with the Prime Minister of India Nadrendra Modi saying, "Overwhelmed by #Padmashri tweets. I wud like to thank each n everyone of u for all the encouragement Luv n support."
Later adding images of the ceremony, Madhur Bhandarkar posted an image of him receiving the award from the President of India Pranad Mukherjee saying, "Feeling Honoured to have received the prestigious #PadmaShri Award from Hon. President Pranabda at @RashtrapatiBhvn".
Just yesterday, we had reported that National Award winning director Madhur Bhandarkar had been conferred with the Padma Shri. Well reacting to the award, Madhur took to twitter saying, "Really grateful, honoured to be awarded Padma Shri. I accept it with all humility, this great respect bestowed by my Government and my country. I would like to thank my Producers, technicians, actors and my friends for this great honour and most importantly my family for their support."
