Bodyguard is a romantic action film starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Directed by Siddique, the film is a remake of the director's 2010 Malayalam hit film of the same name.
After Wanted (2009 Eid release) and Dabangg (2010 Eid release) Salman's Bodyguard is all geared up to release this Eid on 31st August, 2011.
Bodyguard is surely a film close to Salman Khan's heart. While the film is produced by his sister and brother-in-law Alvira and Agnihotri, it also features Salman's 'good friend' Katrina Kaif and his real life 'Bodyguard' Shera in a special dance number.
The title track 'Aaya Re Aaya Bodyguard' has Salman, Katrina and Shera grooving to the beats of this chartbusting number and we bring you some exclusive stills from the same.
Incidentally, this is Katrina and Salman's first ever item song together. Katrina was seen rigorously rehearsing her steps for the song as she wanted it to be as perfect as 'Sheila Ki Jawani' or even better. Sources say that it was co-producer Atul Agnihotri and wife Alvira's idea, who are close to her, to ask Katrina to do an item number for the film to which she immediately said 'Yes'.
The chemistry between the two is said to be sizzling and the shoot at Film City went on quite smoothly.
Salman's real life bodyguard Shera makes his on screen debut with this item song and will be seen dancing and doing an acting bit with Salman and Katrina (as Katrina's bodyguard).
Since Shera was facing the camera for the first time, he was a bit nervous during the song. Luckily, his two co-stars, Salman and Katrina eased his discomfort, with Salman even helping him rehearse his dance moves.
"Yes, I was a bit nervous but bhai (Salman) and Katrina were very supportive. I can't thank him enough for the opportunity he has given me," said Shera, whose real name is Gurmeet Singh.
Atul Agnihotri, who is co-producing the film, said, "The shoot of the song was sensational and very high on energy," adding, "Shera was a little apprehensive about his act and dance steps, but Salman and Katrina urged him on. Salman even helped him with his dance steps to ease the tension. Katrina was also encouraging him to perform well. It will be refreshing to see them together on the big screen."
