The wedding was conducted in traditional Punjabi style and the whole day was marked by a series of rituals. After seeking the blessings of the Almighty, the 'haldi' ceremony began which is considered an auspicious ritual as per Indian tradition.

Even though the wedding was attended by over 2000 guests, very few Bollywood stars such as Sushmita Sen, Poonam Dhillon etc. were seen. Vivek's friends and colleagues from the film fraternity will in all probability be seen at the wedding reception to be held tomorrow (Sunday) at a five-star hotel in Mumbai.

Vivek was even gifted a sword embellished with stones by Priyanka's family as is the tradition.
