'Gayatri finally agrees to marry Raj' makes you sit-up-n-take-notice. Now, it's a scene where Gayatri (Deepika Padukone) confesses her undying love for Raj (Ranbir Kapoor) near the same fountain where he had expressed his 'true-love' for her a few months back. Interestingly, in the climax scene of the film where Raj reads Gayatri's letters, almost the same dialogues are repeated (albeit in the background). Also, a little extra footage is wasted in establishing Raj's mindset, for the blonde chicks on the road don't interest him much any more and he spends far too long a time in reaching his destination. After seeing the deleted scene one would want to laud the efforts of the creative team that decided to axe it in favour of a far more crisp-n-exciting ending.
