DP: Everybody goes through Love Breakups and Zindagi in their life, whether it's love, marriage, etc. Have you girls got friends explaining their stories and did you see that, did you recall that while you were filming?
AG: The film is very relatable. The character I am playing of Gayatri is actually like my best friend. She passed out of college and she knew she wanted to settle down and so she got married. I totally relate to it. I don't want to recall any incident as one of it was quite disturbing a scene of demise.
UJ: The character I play of Ritu in the movie is influenced by Dia's real best friend.
AG: The character I play of Gayatri is also inspired from Sahil's best friend. There was a déjà vu moments while filming.
PS: The character I play is only with Zayed in the film. But when I see the 'Rab Rakha' song I recollect fond memories of my friend's wedding.
(Suddenly something happens when Angel 1 tries to do something quite bizarre)
PS: Are you trying to lick my ears or something? (laughs)
AG: I thought you were getting very serious so ... (laughs)
PS: (laughs) I sat quietly during your turn Auritra. Now let me answer this at least
AG: I'm sorry (laughs)
PS: But I think of my restaurant scene from the movie where the role I play of Radhika doesn't approve of the table where she was supposed to have dinner with her prospective mother-in-law and her boyfriend. I'm actually like that. I'm very anal about where I sit in a restaurant. When I told my friends that was the scene they lost it.
UJ: I have most of my scenes with Dia and Zayed and I so wanted to attend the wedding. Sahil said 'No, you are not going for the wedding'. -
(Just as Angel 3 is about to say something Angel 2 puts her hand in the big round red earrings that Angel 3 was wearing. The masti continues…) UJ: You love my earrings don’t you? I’ll gift them to you (laughs). Coming back to the film, Read More">when Zayed comes to Mumbai and when I amRead More
(Just as Angel 3 is about to say something Angel 2 puts her hand in the big round red earrings that Angel 3 was wearing. The masti continues...)
UJ: You love my earrings don't you? I'll gift them to you (laughs). Coming back to the film, when Zayed comes to Mumbai and when I am showing him the city around, it takes me back to my college days.
DP: So, with your fresh entry into Bollywood, are you a star in the making or an actor in the making?
AG: That's a really good question (laughs). I really want to be an actor in the making. When I moved here to Mumbai, I passionately wanted to pursue acting. My best friend said that greatness is very difficult to achieve but in the path to greatness there is lot of goodness.
DP: What page was that?
AG: No, it's not from any book. But the journey to your ultimate goal is what counts. So yes, in that journey whatever I get I will take it in my stride. I am definitely an actor in the making.
PS: I've studied acting. I've done theatre in Australia and in Mumbai. I've done four feature films if you track my overseas movies. So yes, I am an actor. Whether or not stardom is a by-product of that, is not something that bothers me. I didn't come here for stardom. In Australia, there were less opportunities and that's the reason I came here. I am happy in my artistic space.
UJ: Ditto to Angel 1 and 2 (laughs). It's that easy.
AG & PS: She's a star. I mean who came late to do the interview??? (laughs).
UJ: Do I want to see myself as the solo star on some poster in the next five years - Hell Yes! I want to be a star! And I want critical acclaim. I want the National Award.
AG: Also the Filmfare award (laughs).
UJ: Yes, I want all the awards.
DP: And may the BAFTA and the OSCARS too adore your shelf space.
(Angel 1 - Auritra Ghosh, Angel 2 - Pallavi Sharda and Angel 3 - Umang Jain continue their movie psychosis in Part 2 of this exclusive chat with the NEW ANGELS OF BOLLYWOOD) -
DP: Ok, so you all three are single, right? (Again, all three laugh out loud louder loudest. My Dictaphone shut its ears aka speakers) AG: Yea! PS: …and of course yea. AG: Yea!

(...and the laughter continues)
AG: I don't really but I am seeing someone, yes.
PS & UJ: Wohooooooooooooo!
DP: But you haven't given a name to your relationship yet, have you?
AG: Not yet!
PS: Yea, it's quite an early stage (laughs)
DP: No, but what stage are you on then - Love, Breakups or Zindagi?
AG: It's the Zindagi stage (laughs) I wake up with a smile everyday.
PS: And I am at a stage where I can proudly say....
(And in the stereotype Indian accent Angel 2 quotes with Indian expressions of course)
PS: I am single ready to mingle.
DP: That's really funny.
PS: No, but honestly, I'm at this 'zindagi' stage where I'm enjoying my life.
DP: Ok then, let me give you a task. Pick one man from the poster - Zayed, Sahil, Cyrus, Satyadeep, Vaibhav.
PS: Ok. Cyrus talks too much and we would clash. Zayed is married. Satyadeep and I will get into a lawyer discussion and Vaibhav's got a girlfriend. S***!
UJ: I don't have a boyfriend yaar! Damn! I don't yaar! I have girlfriends.
AG: I have girlfriends too.
UJ: (laughs) So I'm going to be in love with Pallavi and Auritra now....and I'm just not straight anymore...
PS: What? Sorry, this is disintegrated (laughs).
DP: Is this some kind of a Vicki Cristina Barcelona thingy going on or what?
(The Angels laugh) -

DP: You all make your debut with Love Breakups Zindagi. That's what I call 'fresh'.
AG: I've had a little bit of an idea how Bollywood functions because I've assisted my mentor, my guru, Mr. Ashley Lobo. I was with Dance Works Performing Arts for a while. I've worked in and around the industry.
PS: You can call this my first big commercial movie. Though I did a movie called Dus Tola. But LBZ is really big! It is my mainstream debut for sure!
DP: But tell me something, how it feels for pretty petites like you three to be on the big fat poster? Isn't that shocking?
(Everyone laughs out loud and I don't know for what reason and I really can't hear anything till Angel 1 gets going)
AG: Well, I have always felt that my height has always been an advantage for me on stage. I can leap up in the air and shake a leg. But when it comes to modelling and acting, I felt a bit unsure about my height. With LBZ, everything fell in place for me. Though there were many moments I had to stand on apple boxes (laughs).
PS: For me, it's a step closer to what I always envisaged for myself. I dreamt of being a Bollywood actor since I was a two year old. It sounds like a cliché but I'm here and I'm doing it. I am not ashamed of saying it. It's a cliché for a reason. I've worked hard for it and it isn't an easy way in, especially when I had to pack my bags from Australia and leave behind everything to pursue my career in the B-town.
DP: And you Umang, yours wasn't a cliché one was it? Or was it like a knock on the door, the door opens and you are cast as the girl next door.
UJ: If that is a compliment, then Thank You very much and if it wasn't then hmmm Ok!
DP: Of course it's a compliment.
UJ: Oh great! I am the ultimate next door girl. I'm going to sound really cliche but I too wanted to be an actress since I was a ten year old. My parents didn't approve of it is another thing. I went psychotic about it at one point and that's when my folks agreed. But I never compromised on my studies. After eleven years of convincing and compromises, I've finally made it to the poster (laughs). -
Devansh Patel: I just posted on Twitter that I’m off to meet the LBZ Angels. So people thought I’m off to meet the Victoria’s Angels or the Charlie’s Angels. Auritra Ghosh (Angel 1): We are Sahil Sangha's Angels (laughs).
DP: And how would you describe yourself Angels?
AG: I'm loud, completely quirky and mad and I don't stop laughing for everything. So even if your jokes aren't funny I'll still laugh and that's a compliment for anybody.
(Pallavi Sharda - Angel 2 interrupts)
Pallavi Sharda: I thought that you thought I was always funny
AG: (laughs) there you go! (laughs) I can't even sit still. Sitting down at one place, being quiet, etc don't apply to me at all.
PS: I kind of have to deter from most of that except for some people who think that I'm bipolar. Some think that I'm really serious. When everyone met me for the first time, they were a bit freaked out by me. But after a while the comments started to pour - Oh, you're actually very nice and funny, crazy and nuts...
(Angel 1 interrupts)
AG: Yea, but when I met you, you'd already come out with your other avatar (laughs).
PS: Yea! (laughs) Beware! I'm a bit psychotic, schizophrenic bla bla bla
Umang Jain (Angel 3): I'm just the opposite (laughs).
(Angel 2 and Angel 1 give Angel 3 back for coming late)
PS: She's someone who takes a long time to get to places (laughs)
AG: She's the Angel without the wings.
UJ: Yes, you're right. I am the Angel without the wings because I had to literally travel on the ground. I am a grounded person (laughs). I am someone who comes across as boring at times, someone who's very reserved and an introvert but once I know you it's good fun to play around (smiles).
