Being the country's biggest youth icon, Ranbir Kapoor was keen to meet with the "men at the border" and immediately jumped at the opportunity to travel to Nahan, Himachal Pradesh, home to the 1st Para Battalion, comprising some of India's finest commandos.
It was a day well spent as the actor had the Jawans on their feet, entertaining them with some of his biggest hits, even as they responded matching step for step. Ranbir's parting shot was saluting the men whom he called "The Real Heroes".
Apart from sharing a meal with them and entertaining them to the hilt, Ranbir participated in some high voltage sniper firing, followed by rock climbing and rappelling, and even a rugby match with the Jawans. Impressively, the actor even managed to hit the bull's eye in spite of using a sniper gun for the very first time.
Taking some time out from his professional commitments, Ranbir spent the day with the Jawans and even got a first hand look at the challenges and training they have to undergo, having participated in some of the activities himself.
