Priyanka Chopra - Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan reprimanded youth icon Priyanka Chopra for the usage of the 'F' word in one of her recent tweets. Priyanka didn't use the word herself, she re-tweeted international singer Rihanna's tweet that were the lyrics from Nicki Minaj's verse from her collaboration with Drake on the song Up All Night, "F*** I look like ho? I look like yes and ya look like no".
Reading this, Big B immediately tweeted, "@priyankachopra @rihanna Priyanka !!!??? 4 letter word !!???? From you ???" Priyanka replied back saying, "sir retweet tha.... Haaaaw! don't naaaa...(blush blush)@SrBachchan"
To which, Big B wrote "@priyankachopra Arre, retweet bhi padha jaata hai ..mujhse poocho, main bhugat chuka hoon !! But chill .. love to you and take care !! Priyanka immediately apologized "pheeeewwww! Ok sir! Sabak seekh liya.. Bhaad mein jaaye Rihanna aur uske tweets! Love u 2 and have a good day @SrBachchan" .
Priyanka, who received lots of flak from her followers told them, "Alright guys. imma b a good girl now and quietly go to work. teeheehee.. think I shud shuttup for a bit.. Haha! have a brilliant day loves!"
Here's to the 'Good girl', Piggy Chops!
Javed Akhtar (again)… this time over Kolaveri Di
The soft spoken Dhanush, who created a viral history with the semi national anthem 'Kolaveri Di', was at the receiving end, from one of the most unlikely persons, Javed Akhtar, who tweeted, "KOLAVARI-D Every one is praising the robes but the emporer is naked. Tune ordinary, singing substandard. Words an insult to sensibility." Akhtar, who got some negative reactions from his followers for his comments on the song, replied back, "What kind of logic is this even if all my songs are trash, meaningless, unbearable how does that make this Kolaveri D good. Its a barrage of comments about my comment on KOLA...some are calling me jealous, even abusing me, others praising me for belling the cat."
As they say, you can't please everybody at the same time. What say, Dhanush! -

RGV- Big B
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is one man who can manage to rub people the wrong way… almost always, and still somehow manage to get away with it! First, it was the ace filmmaker Karan Johar, who was at RGV's receiving end. Post that, he even 'expressed his views' on Amitabh Bachchan's Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap (BHTB), in the typical RGV style.
After having seen some of the scenes from BHTB, RGV tweeted, "Just saw sme scenes of Bbhuddah nd am f*****g super angry wth the f*****g angry man fr not doing mre films like this all these f*****g years. Sarkar showd jst 1 side of Bacchan puri jagan showd all sides in Bbuddah nd I wnt 2 super f*****g thank hm as a super f*****g bacchhan fan".
On reading this tweet, the ever so cool Big B quickly twiplied, "@ RGVzoomin: Sarkaaaaar ! Minus the F word, if only you had proposed such roles I would have married on the spot ...!!'
RGV answered tweeting "@SrBachchan and Bbhuddah is the f*****g bestest sarkaaaarrr". And when RGV failed to get a response from Big B, he tweeted him giving an explanation for his usage if the F word "@ SrBachchan: HaHa sarkaar the f word ws my emotion nd the rest ws my commotion nd can u pleeeaaasssee not make me jealous pleeeaaasssseeeeee,".
On watching the film after it released RGV further tweeted, "Just watched Bbuddah nd am. angry with bacchan that hes such a ch***iya not to do films like this nd am such a l**d not to realize this"
'Actor' Uday Chopra quits Bollywood
When you have the showman Yash Chopra as your father and Adi Chopra as your brother there's nothing in this world that can go wrong for you. As they say, 'Destiny is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans'. Earlier this year, Uday Chopra shocked one and all by tweeting that "Ok confession time...Dhoom 3 is my swan song...my last film...no I'm not giving up acting...quite the opposite, acting is giving up on me!"
Like it happens in Bollywood, the 'actor' in Uday refused to die and that gave him a reason to clarify his 'stand' by tweeting that "Ha ha..too funny!!! News spreads like wildfire on twitter..Even when I'm making half of it up just to entertain u guys… Don't get me wrong the acting quitting me part was true…just the rest was added masala...I'll always be in the movie business but perhaps now more behind the scenes than in front...stay tuned!!!"
No prizes for guessing as to which actor will be hoping to have a Dhooming 2012! -

Bipasha Basu accused of child labour
'Bongshell' Bipasha Basu landed in a major controversy pertaining to child labour, moments after she posted a picture of two girls tying her shoe laces on twitter. She tweeted, "I need to learn to tie shoe laces ASAP! Embarassed that I can't! No patience.. grrrrr! Promise I am not spoilt! Will learn soon," and tagged it with the picture.
Within no time, the actress was flooded with reactions from her zillion fans all over, mostly criticizing her for the pic and terming it as child labour. After seeing such reactions from the fans, she deleted the post and tweeted explaining, "Well the ppl helping me in the pix r my friend n sister,Who I help often with the same!So am sorry if it hurt anyones sentiments!Abt d pix,D pair of boots were a diff pair so my sis and my friend were helping me n I thought it looked damn funny n took d pix as a joke!".
No doubt, the whole thing was done in good fun but it got her in serious trouble with the people and her fans.
Sonakshi Sinha upsets Pakistani fans
Sonakshi Sinha, who made a splash with her debut film Dabangg, angered her Pakistani fans with her 'Dabangg' act by uploading a morphed picture showing Pakistani sportsman Shahid Afridi getting whacked by Virender Sehwag with the caption 'De ghumaaaaake! Hehehehahahaha.'
Immediately, hate replies started pouring from her Pakistani fans who took offence to the picture, while some even un-followed her on Twitter. Sonakshi, who understood that she had hurt the sentiments of her followers, requested them to take it sportingly by tweeting, "Pak fans very upset. jung ke maidan mein ladne se toh accha hi hai khel ke maidan mein ladein! I am all for love thy neighbour. Be a sport yaar"
That's what one would call as a 'Shotgun' answer! -

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said that 'Beauty without expression is boring'. Well, it just can't get better than this for all the Bollywood folks, who use 'Twitter', the most popular social networking tool as a platform to connect with their fans and friends. On one hand, though Twitter can be used as a unique and new age marketing tool, on the other, it can also double up as a stage for emotional outbursts (read 'weapon of verbal destruction').
Bollywood Hungama brings to you some of the controversial tweets that ignited a spat between many.
Javed Akhtar - Mahesh Bhatt copyright row
This year began with a war of words between two Bollywood bigwigs Javed Akhtar and Mahesh Bhatt, who started their (in)famous 'twi- fight' over the issue of copyrights between lyricists, musicians and film producers. Javed Akhtar was upset with Bhatt, who took a few producers to meet the government officials to arrive at a solution.
We present some excerpts of the same:
Javed Akhtar (JA): In the so-called copyright controversy, masks have slipped off some faces. The real face of "the saviour of the downtrodden" is exposed. Mahesh Bhatt who claims to be an activist is actually fighting a losing battle for depriving authors of their rights. What a shame!
Mahesh Bhatt (MB): It consists of small chieftains who delude themselves to be emperors! The film industry is an army of generals. Everyone gives orders no one takes one!
JA: All over the world author/composers get royalties but here they are taken away by one-sided contracts. You are not fooling any one. You represent the vested interest in this matter and stand totally exposed. It is strange that Mahesh Bhatt wants to protect the rights of Zakir Naik but not of Pt Ravi Shankar, Rehman, Sonu Nigam and Javed Akhtar.
MB: If what you allege about me is true, it should not hurt me. And if it is not true even then it should not hurt me. We can't get far by merely demonizing our producer 'brother'. A wrong perception has been built up, giving an impression that composers do not make money from a hit song. The fact is that the composers and singers make millions by performing on hit songs by way of live shows. -

Shirish Kunder mocks Ra.One
Shirish Kunder is indeed Bollywood’s ‘Jaaneman’ when it comes to twitter updates. His twitter updates are indeed a delight to read and ponder over. No wonder then, he has his followers increasing by every passing minute. The usually creative and whacky Shirish actually landed up shocking one and all with his take on SRK’s Ra.One. He tweeted “I just heard a 150 Cr firework fizzle.(sic). Ironically #StepsTo SurviveAHorrorMovie is trending today!" He even took potshots at SRK’s superhero act by retweeting comments like, "The superhero in Ra.One has all the powers in the world but to entertain!".
Shirish received a backlash from both the fans of SRK as well as Ra. One. Many termed this as Shirish’s attention seeking tactics as he had no film releasing this year. Films or no films, Shirish indeed is still ruling Twitter by making a ‘Joker’ of literary words and worlds!
Kamaal R Khan-Veena Mallik
He came, he saw and he ‘Khan-quered’ with his hard hitting Deshdrohi. We are talking about the ‘Mr. Daredevil’ Kamaal R Khan (KRK for short), who minces no words as his reaction to the recent controversy that got stirred, when Veena Mallik posed topless for FHM magazine.
As his ‘tweaction’ (reaction on twitter), KRK tweeted "Just saw FHM magazine n I can see many photos of Veena where I can see each n every part of her body. Veena ne Pakistan ki full waat laga di…Veena Malik is ready to be nangi in budhapaa just for publicity. Why do we Indians give so much respect to prostitutes like Veena n sunny?†He further added “All the people who love India they should beat Veena Malik like dog and ask government to deport her immediately. She is #2RSpeople. MNS and Shiv shena do not want bhayyas to stay in Maharashtra but they do not have problem with Veena. Why? She must leave India. I request MNS and Shiv Sena to oppose Veena Mallik and deport her right away. We don't need Veena Malik when we already have Poonam Pandey, Sherlyn Chopra and Rakhi Sawant.. How we know that Veena Mallik is not ISI agent? I think ISI has sent Veena to fool us this is why she is doing all this drama. Photos without cloths what is this yar? Sharam hi nahi hai."
Over to you, Miss Mallik!
