You in the water. I can so imagine. But did you ever fall sick or something? Fright?
We were in the water for 14 hours every day! I am not kidding! I was in the open water with the rest of the cast. People don't believe it when we say these things but we were shooting in Fiji Islands. It wasn't a swimming pool. I did take some swimming classes before I started my shoot. We were so tired by the end of the day. We had to change our diet too. First few days were tough, but by the end of the shoot we started missing the water (laughs).
How was it seeing your face on the front page of Bombay Times?
I love what I do and I really found myself in the front pages of Indian newspaper. It's a dream come true when people call me for interviews. I have done a lot of commercials and so I am used to seeing myself in magazines and hoardings but the best thing was while I was shopping in a mall. I am a Brazilian and I don't expect people to come to me but a few from the crowd did know my name. I was so proud of myself.

Anubhav Sinha used to sit with us all day and talk about his personal experiences in the movie world. He is fun but strict. He will not be too close to you but will stick to being a professional. Someone who has so much experience saying - 'Suzana you can do better' - 'Suzana I am proud of you', means a lot. He helps you become a better actor.
Lastly, I know Brazil is all about hot bodies and mad dancing. Do we see you in an item number soon?
We dance a lot in Brazil, but Bollywood dancing is very vibrant and energetic. I would love to do an item song in a film because I love dancing.

(laughs) We were not shooting with them. They were a bit far from us but not too far. The sharks were real. We were taught breathing exercise. I could not hold my breath under water for more than ten seconds. The sharks were there and nothing happened. Of course, we had that feeling that anything can happen. I was actually scared and about to cry after the days shoot. I am a very shy girl but when I face the camera, you forget about Suzana Rodrigues.
You wear a bikini because….?
You wear a bikini because you have a good body. I don't mind wearing a bikini but not for the sake of wearing it. I want to act and wear a bikini. I am not looking for a specific role. After Warning, a lot of movie offers will keep coming, I know. I just don't want to look sexy. I am already. I want to act now in more good movies.

Pick - Mumbai or Brazil?
When I landed here in Mumbai, I had a feeling that I will have to go back. Today, I can say that I don't want to leave this country. It's given me a lot and more than I should have liked. I feel these are my people just like I think when I go back to Brazil. I plan to live here too and enjoy both the sides of the world.
Suzana Rodrigues is a sexy tornado any one would like to face. It approaches you and in a fraction of a second consumes you. Devoid of makeup, her shiny silky hair falls on my cheek when she hugs me. She is shy and speaks slowly but in throaty Brazilian English. Though Rodrigues clocks in at nearly six feet and has a bod that stops traffic, it's the one-two punch of her significant physical assets and her wham-bam personality that has got her the tag 'The Hot Import' from Brazil to Bollywood. To be honest, Suzana is the one you want to introduce to your mother - she talks less, listens to you, is shy, has a great smile, and yes, your family, extended family and your community will never say NO to this choice. In front of the camera, Rodrigues is something else too. She brings sexy back and it looks and sounds way sexier than Justin Timberlake. And knowing Warning 3D is her debut film, why am I not surprised that the sharks sensed the sexy too. I love her attitude. She's self-con?dent, conscious of her beauty, independent. She is what a woman should be. And after a long day, she can also be a friend who can join you for a cuppa coffee and some mad banter. We did just that one bright and breezy afternoon.
Did the film found you or you found the film?
I think they found me. They were looking for a character that was a French and could speak in English with an accent. I was not in India when they were doing auditions. I was told that they kept doing auditions for six months but could not find the right girl. I came back in February last year and right after that I auditioned. It was a usual morning. I went for my take and in the afternoon I got a call from the director saying that I was doing the film. I was so happy.
