45 Years of Rajinikanth: Superstar pens an emotional note thanking his fans

Superstar Rajinikanth completes 45 years in the movies this year. The actor is moved by the love he has been receiving from his fans. Rajinikanth who is also known as Thalaiva took to his social media handle to thank all his fans for celebrating his journey in cinema. Fans of the star made actors and other celebrities in South India release a Common Display Picture (CDP) on Twitter.

Overwhelmed by this gesture, he took to Twitter and wrote, “On this day, which marks the forty fifth anniversary of my theatrical journey, my heartfelt thanks go out to all the good hearts who greeted me and to the fanbase of the gods who keep me alive. I won't be here if not for you. (sic).”

South Indian stars Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, director Karthik Subbaraj and even cricketer Ashwin Ravichandran were some of the celebrities who shared the fan-made poster celebrating 45 years of Rajinikanth in cinema.

Rajinikanth made his film debut with Aboorva Raganangal which released on August 15, 1975. Over the years he has worked in more than 160 films in multiple languages.
