7 years since Baahubali started; makers share picture of the crowd that assembled to welcome Prabhas

It was today seven years ago that SS Rajamouli and his team began filming for the film that created history and broke several records. The magnum opus Baahubali:The Beginning featuring Prabhas in the lead was a two part film with the first part releasing in 2015.

The makers of Baahubali took to social media to celebrate the occasion by sharing some unseen pictures from the sets of the film on day one. The pictures show the huge crowd that assembled to welcome Prabhas. “July 6, 2013. The moment when it all began! We started the shoot of #Baahubali on this day 7 years ago...” they tweeted along with the pictures.

The film had an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nassar. Prabhas, who already enjoyed a massive fan following in the south because of his Telugu films, became a pan India star with the success of the Baahubali franchise.

Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli is currently working on his upcoming project RRR. The film features Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead. The shooting of the film has currently come to a halt owing to the pandemic.
