“Allu Arjun is already a big brand”: Distributor Anil Thadani speaks on Pushpa 2’s success prospects

The excitement surrounding Allu Arjun's highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, continues to build as its release date approaches. Scheduled for December 5, the sequel to the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise is expected to redefine box office standards.

At a recent Pushpa 2 press meet, distributor Anil Thadani expressed his confidence in the film's success. He stated, “Allu Arjun is already a big brand. It's not that he's in the process of becoming. Pushpa Part one itself did humongous business. So he's already a superstar, I mean this is the level he's going to be at always. God willing. That's what we are hoping for.” Thadani emphasized the film’s broad appeal, noting, “I think the film has universal prospects, pan India and across the globe too. It's on the threshold of shattering new records.”

Pushpa: The Rise made waves in 2021, earning critical acclaim and commercial success, which set high expectations for the sequel. With Arjun reprises his role as the charismatic smuggler Pushpa Raj, along with Rashmika Mandanna who plays his love interest, and Fahadh Faasil who plays a wicked IPS officer, fans are eager to see how the story unfolds and what new challenges Allu will face.

Directed by Sukumar, the film promises to deliver high-octane action, gripping drama, and stunning visuals. Pushpa 2: The Rule releases in theatres Pan India on December 5, 2024.
