Amitabh Bachchan to shoot for 20 days for the Rajinikanth starrer Thalaivar 170: Report : Bollywood News

While the anticipation for Rajinikanth films are always at an all-time high among his fans, the recent announcement made by the makers of the superstar’s next have left audiences awestruck. The untitled TJ Gnanavel directorial, which is being referred to as Thalaivar 170, is expected to feature a massive star cast including the likes of Pan India stars like Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, along with megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Now we hear that Bollywood’s legendary actor will be having a shoot schedule as long as 20 days for the film.

Fans and movie buffs are eagerly waiting to see a sight that hasn’t been witnessed in decades, which is bringing Hum co-stars Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan together on the big screen. Now adding to that, a source opened up about the role of Bollywood megastar to Hindustan Times, wherein it was said, “He has given 20 days of call time to the makers and is being paid decently for the project. It is being said that he has got somewhere around 12-15 crores for the same.”

The source went on to add, “It is still unsure how his character has been weaved in the story and what will be the duration of it. But 20 days is a long time and we can surely expect the two of them doing something worth watching for their fans, who waited for this collaboration for years. We can also expect a social message been given through the film and Bachchan’s character.”

Further explaining about the film, the source continued, “From what is being discussed, the film is about an education system and how it has been corrupted over the years. The big shots have made education into a business, because of which the common man is suffering.”

Produced by Lyca Productions, Thalaivar 170 is still in the initial stages and went on floors last week.
