Chiranjeevi shares heartfelt video thanking Salman Khan; says, “Masood bhai is the driving force behind Godfather” : Bollywood News

Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi shared the big screen with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan for the first time in Godfather. The film is a remake of the Mohanlal starrer Lucifer and the film features Khan in a pivotal role. After Salman shared a video note expressing his fondness for Chiranjeevi, the South star responded to it in yet another video thanking Sallu Bhai for being a part of the film. He also added that the latter’s character Masood Bhai was the driving force in the film.

Readers would be aware that Godfather has been receiving positive and rave reviews from the audience. Speaking about Salman Khan being associated with the film, Chiranjeevi posted a video on Instagram with a caption saying, “Thank you Sallu bhai @beingsalmankhan !! @alwaysramcharan #godfather” As for the video, it has Chiranjeevi saying, “Thank you, my dear Sallu Bhai and congratulations to you too. Because Masood Bhai is the force behind GodFather’s stupendous success. Thank you and I love you so much. Vande Mataram.” He also blew a kiss for his beloved friend.

This video comes after Salman Khan had dedicated a heartfelt video to the South superstar on Instagram. He had said, “My dear Chiru Garu, I love you and I heard that GodFather is doing really well. Congrats! god bless you. You know why Chiru Garu, because this country and its citizens are very powerful, Vande Mataram.” He had captioned the video, saying, “#Godfather @alwaysramcharan @chiranjeevikonidela." Interestingly, Chiranjeevi had also earlier revealed that Salman Khan did not charge a penny for this film.

Directed by Mohan Raja, Godfather also stars Nayanthara, Satyadev Kancharana in lead roles with music composed by S. Thaman. It released on October 5, 2022. Speaking about its Malayalam counterpart Lucifer, the film was directed by actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran and featured Manju Warrier, Vivek Oberoi, among others and released on March 28, 2019.
