Desingh Periyasamy drops photo with STR 48 leading man Silambarasan; hints at starting work on the film : Bollywood News

Not too long ago, Raaj Kamal Films International had announced a film with popular actor Silambarasan. While the title is yet to be announced, it is currently being referred to as STR48. Although details are kept under wraps, the director of the film Desingh Periyasamy recently decided to drop a major update which has piqued the curiosity of fans. A recent set of photos shared by the filmmaker on social media seems to have garnered attention.

Recently, director Desingh Periyasamy took to his Instagram to drop photos of himself with actor Silambarasan. The photo features Silamabarasan in a colourful floral attire and also sporting a man bun as the netizens wonder if he will be sporting the same look for this upcoming entertainer. It features the two engaged in a deep discussion, about their upcoming film STR48 together. He captioned the post, "Positive mind positive vibes. #STR48 #BloodandBattle".

The film is backed by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran under Raaj Kamal Films International. With a tagline Blood and Battle, the film marks the first time Silambarasan will be collaborating with the filmmaker and working for RKFI banner. Talking about being associated with the film and working with the banner, Silambarasan had earlier said, "Patience is a virtue. It took a lot of faith but it's worth the wait. This film will satiate my hunger for creative passion. It is a great privilege to work in Kamal sir's production under the Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) banner. I have a strong belief in Director Desingh Periyasamy and his script, which will make this film a significant milestone in my career."

From what we hear the film is at the pre-production stage. The rest of the details on the cast and technical crew is expected to be announced soon.
