Dhanush unveils release date of Idli Kadai; drops new poster

Dhanush teased his fans on November 7 about dropping a major announcement on Friday and shared an announcement poster along with the release date.

Dhanush, who already has the much-awaited Kubera, in the pipeline has piqued the interest of his social media fam with a teasing poster that he shared on his official social media handle on Thursday. Staying true to his word, the popular actor-filmmaker has dropped a major announcement on the same platform on November 8 about his next and it is about his film Idli Kadai. As reported before, the film will mark his reunion with Thiruchitrambalam co-star Nithya Menen too.

In the announcement poster, Dhanush has unveiled the release date of the film which is on April 10, 2025. The date is special since it is quite near to the Tamil New Year aka Puthandu, which falls on April 14, 2025 and it seems that the makers want to cash in on the festivities. Fans have expressed their excitement over the new announcement amid curiosity building among them to know more about this upcoming venture.

Although the genre of the film has not yet been revealed, Dhanush has unveiled a couple of posters in the past, all of which feature a rustic vibe and it has garnered ample eyeballs. Furthermore, Dhanush has also announced his role as a director in this entertainer that has added to this anticipation. With music by GV Prakash, the film boasts of a host of popular crew members which included Kiran Koushik as the cinematographer, Prasanna GK as the film editor, PC Stunts as action coordinators.

As for the cast, Nitya Menen confirmed her association and reunion with Dhanush for the film, over a photo of them sharing tea in October, whereas reports have it that the film will also feature several other popular actors like Shalini Pandey, Prakash Raj, Sathyaraj, Arun Vijay, among others. Idli Kadai is produced by Dhanush’s WunderBar Films together with the newly-created production house Dawn Pictures.
