Disha Patani praises Kanguva director Siva at music launch in Chennai: “He will always be my Teddy”

Disha Patani will appear in Kanguva. She attended the music launch in Chennai on Saturday, alongside Suriya, Bobby Deol, and director Siva. During the event, Disha shared her thoughts on collaborating with the filmmaker, referring to him as her "teddy." She commended Suriya for his humility and expressed her honour at being in the presence of Bobby.

Disha said, “The first time I met Siva Sir, I knew he would become like a family to me. He ensured that I was always very comfortable on the sets. Being part of Kanguva, a visual spectacle is an honour. Thank you Siva sir. You will always be my Teddy.”

Talking about Suriya, she said, “You are a terrific performer. A rock-solid performer, everyone knows that. What I want to say today is that knowing as a person on the sets was something else. Thank you for being kind and compassionate towards everyone on the sets. You always help people and many students to pursue their dreams and even help people to dream in the first place. Keep continuing the good work. Your humility has made me rethink a lot of the things I do in my life.”

Disha concluded her speech by expressing her admiration for Bobby Deol and stated, “Bobby Sir… I have danced to your songs a thousand times. I grew up watching Soldier and Gupt, and it’s such an honour to be in the same room and film as you. I can’t imagine!”

The trailer, released recently, reveals that the film is set in a tribal region where Suriya leads a group preparing for war against Bobby Deol. Suriya’s character is depicted as a fierce daredevil, marking the superstar’s impressive entry into the Pan-India market. The trailer serves as Suriya’s powerful declaration across India, showcasing both prehistoric humans and the future. Such a bold and imaginative project could only originate from the South.
