EXCLUSIVE: Malavika Mohanan opens up about her experience of working with Prabhas and Vikram; praises Prabhas for his humility

Malavika Mohanan will be sharing the screen with Prabhas in The Raja Saab after featuring alongside Chiyaan Vikram in Thangalaan.

Malavika Mohanan is super excited about the love coming her way for Thangalaan. While she has wrapped up the promotions of the Chiyaan Vikram starrer, Malavika has also moved on to her next project as she has joined the team of The Raja Saab which features Prabhas. Acting with such prominent names from the industry is obviously exciting for this budding star and recently she shared some interesting memories with Vikram and the experience of shooting with Prabhas in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hugama.

Malavika Mohanan describes what it is like to be on the sets of The Raja Saab

Appreciating her co-star Prabhas for his extreme humility, Malavika Mohanan told Bollywood Hungama, “I began working with Prabhas on The Raja Saab well before the release of Kalki 2898 AD. From the start, he was humble, and that hasn't changed; if anything, he's even more joyful and enthusiastic now. Despite the success of Kalki (2898 AD), he remains as excited as ever about his work. His energy on set is remarkable, and since the film’s success, he radiates even more vitality. Prabhas is incredibly kind and welcoming. I’m truly grateful to have entered the Telugu industry alongside him.”

She went on to share, “Vikram Sir was instrumental in shaping my performance. His guidance on each shot was invaluable, and he always took the time to help me fine-tune my approach. I genuinely couldn’t have achieved what I did in Thangalaan without his support. It’s an experience I will always cherish. Observing Vikram sir’s unique process was a masterclass in itself. Beyond the acting, I gained a richer understanding of the technical aspects of filmmaking—such as how stunts and camera movements can enhance a performance.” Further speaking about her female co-star Parvathy, Malavika added, “Parvathy’s deep dedication to her character was unlike anything I had seen before. The set often buzzed with a lively chaos, which only added to the creative energy. Watching the cast immerse themselves in their roles was incredibly inspiring,” she concluded.

While Thangalaan is a historical fantasy drama that is based on true incidents that transpired in Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka, The Raja Saab is a horror comedy that not only stars Prabhas but also Nidhhi Agerwal, Sanjay Dutt, among others in key roles. The film is directed by Maruthi, and it is expected to release on April 10, 2025.
