First look poster of Thala Ajith’s Valimai to not release on his birthday; makers decide to not promote the film during the pandemic

Celebrated actor Thala Ajith will be turning a year older tomorrow (May 1). A few days ago it was speculated that the first look poster of his upcoming film Valimai will be unveiled on his birthday.

While fans of Thala Ajith have been eagerly awaiting for the first look, producer Boney Kapoor took to Twitter to reveal that the team will not do any promotional activities related to their films in view of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

In the statement, the producer shared on Twitter, he wrote, "As the entire world fights Covid-19, Bayview Projects along with the concerned artist's and technicians of our films have mutually decided that we shall not do any PR activity or promote any film of ours till we overcome this critical time. Till then let us all together fight this battle."

Meanwhile, the makers are hopeful to release the film this year as planned earlier. They will resume shooting post the lockdown is lifted.

Meanwhile, fans of Ajith have started trending Ajith's birthday posts on Twitter hours before his birthday begins with the hashtag #HBDDearestThalaAJITH. On the other hand, Ajith through his spokesperson has requested fans to not celebrate his birthday this year and asked them to stay safe at home.

Valimai is an action thriller directed by H Vinoth. The film went on floors in December 2019. Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi will be playing Ajith's love interest in the flick.
