The actor, who often takes international breaks with his family, shared his heartfelt sentiments on social media, expressing deep sadness for the unfortunate events that unfolded in Japan.

For the unversed, Jr NTR took a break with his wife, Lakshmi Pranathi, and their two children, Abhay and Bhargav. The family spent Christmas and New Year in Japan, creating cherished memories. However, their holiday took an unexpected turn when a series of earthquakes hit Japan on January 1. Reportedly, the incident claimed eight lives and triggered tsunami warnings.

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on January 2, Jr NTR shared his thoughts on the calamity in Japan. He expressed being "deeply saddened by the earthquakes hitting" and extended his sympathies to everyone affected. The actor highlighted the resilience of the Japanese people and hoped for a swift recovery, urging the nation to stay strong in the face of adversity.

In fact, the RRR star and his family were seen arriving at the Hyderabad airport on January 1, just a day after the tragic events unfolded in Japan.

Coming to the professional front, the 40-year-old actor will be next seen in Devara, directed by Koratala Siva. The film, set to release in two parts, will also star Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. The makers of Devara recently unveiled a new poster and announced that the first glimpse of the film will be released on January 8. The first part is scheduled to hit theatres on April 5.
