Kangana Ranaut will step into the iconic role of Chandramukhi for the much-anticipated film, Chandramukhi 2. While reprising a role that was played by Jyothika in the original film, Kangana's commitment to her craft has been lauded not only by fans but also by Jyothika herself.
In an earlier interview, Kangana expressed her admiration for Jyothika's performance in Chandramukhi, stating that she watches Jyothika's iconic portrayal almost daily to prepare for her role. She acknowledged the nerve-wracking challenge of matching up to Jyothika's brilliance in the first part, emphasizing the enormity of the task at hand.
In a heartwarming response, Jyothika praised Kangana's performance and revealed herself as a huge fan of Kangana's work. "Feel extremely proud to see one of the most talented actresses of Indian cinema play the role of #Chandramukhi, @KanganaTeam you look ravishing and I’m a huge fan of your work and I’m waiting to see this one specially for you," she posted.
Chandramukhi 2 is set to release on 15th September.
