Malavika Mohanan to star alongside Prabhas in supernatural thriller Raja Deluxe?

Following rumours that Anushka Shetty and Mehreen Kaur Pirzada will star in Prabhas' upcoming film Raja Deluxe, it has been reported that Malavika Mohanan has been roped in to play the female protagonist. According to Pinkvilla, the actor's next film will be a supernatural action thriller directed by Maruthi. Malavika has reportedly been cast opposite Prabhas, per the publication.

According to reports, Malavika had previously expressed interest in starring in a major Telugu film. The film is none other than the one featuring Prabhas and the actress is quite eager to begin this endeavour. However, production will be delayed because Prabhas will be working on Project K and Salaar.

In addition to requiring more time for pre-production, Maruthi's frightening elements necessitated significant visual effects. The team has chosen to begin production on the film in August, according to a source mentioned by the publication.

Meanwhile, Prabhas is engaged in other projects. He will also appear in Adpurush and Spirit in addition to Salaar and Project K. The films Salaar and Adipurush will be released the next year.

In contrast, Maruthi is putting the final touches on his action-comedy Pakka Commercial. The film will reportedly be released in theatres on July 1st of this year.

Malavika Mohanan was most recently seen in the film Maaran with Dhanush. She will also appear in the Hindi film Yudhra.
