Last month, the picturesque district of Wayanad in Kerala, India, witnessed a devastating landslide and flood that left a trail of destruction and chaos in its wake. Heavy rainfall in the region triggered a massive landslide in the area, resulting in widespread damage to homes, roads, and infrastructure. As the casualties have reached over 200, many citizens across the country have extended help towards the region and its survivors. After news of several South actors made extensive donations were reported, now it is being said that Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, and Fahadh Faasil too have made donations to the relief fund.
It is being said that Malayalam superstar Mammootty and his son and renowned star Dulquer Salmaan have made a donation of Rs. 35 lakhs jointly, with Mammootty donating Rs. 20 lakhs and Dulquer donating Rs. 15 lakhs to the Wayanand relief fund. "I've made a small donation for relief efforts so far, and I'm willing to give more if needed. These people are just like us, and their lives changed drastically in two days. It's our responsibility to help them now," he was quoted saying in an ETimes report.
Meanwhile, Pushpa actor Fahadh Faasil and his actress-wife Nazriya Nazim too is said to have donated Rs 25 lakh to the CMDRF. The report also published an official from the actors’ team which said, "To the Honourable Chief Minister, Keralam. We write to you with a heavy heart for the people of Wayanad. To aid in the relief and rehabilitation efforts, we are making a donation of Rs 25,00,000 to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund."
On the other hand, Mohanlal took to the social media platform X, aka Twitter, dedicating a note to the brave Indian Army officers and in the note he wrote, “I salute the courage of the selfless volunteers, policemen, Fire & Rescue, NDRF, army soldiers, government officials, and every person working tirelessly to provide relief to the victims of the Wayanad disaster. I am grateful for the efforts of my 122 Infantry Battalion, TA Madras, who have been at the forefront of the relief mission. We have faced challenges before and emerged stronger. I pray that we stand united and show the strength of our unity in this difficult time. Jai Hind!”

Apart from these stars, Tamil superstar Chiyaan Vikram, who is gearing up for the release on Thangalaan, also donated a massive lumpsum of Rs. 20 lakhs joining the list of other actors who made donations like Suriya, Jyotika, Karthi and Rashmika Mandanna.
