Mrunal Thakur opens up on her cameo in Kalki 2898 AD; says, “I didn’t even take a minute to say Yes”

While Kalki 2898 AD garnered ample attention owing to its extensive star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and other prominent figures, fans were thrilled to see some more addition to that star power in the form of Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda and of course, their co-star Mrunal Thakur. The actress recently opened up about bagging the role and confessed that she was quick to accept the offer to be part of Kalki, even if it was for a comparatively lesser screen time.

Mrunal Thakur shares that she always had faith in the project.

Readers would be aware that Mrunal’s look from her special cameo in the highly anticipated mega-starrer film has taken the social media by storm and has been going viral ever since the film released on Thursday. Mrunal expressed her excitement and confidence in the project, which is produced by the esteemed trio of Aswani Dutt, Swapna Dutt, and Priyanka Dutt since she has also worked with them in the past for her highly successful Pan-India film Sita Ramam.

Thakur said, "When I was approached for Kalki, I didn’t even take a moment to say yes. I have immense faith in producers Aswani Dutt, Swapna Dutt, and Priyanka. Our successful collaboration in 'Sita Ramam' made this an easy decision. And being part of this mammoth of a project and this absolute visionary filmmaking was something I knew I had to be part of”.

Let us tell you that even though several reports were going around about the possible cameos in the film, Mrunal’s appearance in the film was kept a surprise. Hence, it added to immense excitement and anticipation among her fans when they saw her playing a crucial role in this sci-fi entertainer.
