Nani, Keerthy Suresh, starrer Dasara to release on March 30, 2023

Starring Nani and Keerthy Suresh, the release of Dasara will coincide with the occasion of Ram Navmi on March 30, 2023.

Dasara marks the first pan-India project for Jersey actor Nani and it features National Award-Winning actress Keerthy Suresh as the leading lady. Srikanth Odela is debuting as director with this rustic mass action entertainer and the film will be produced on a large scale by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas. Makers have now locked in the release date of the film which is expected to be in March next year.

Dasara will be hitting the big screens on March 30, 2023, on the occasion of Ram Navami. Speaking about the reason why the date was chosen, a source close to the film said, “The makers came up with a big update. Dasara will be releasing worldwide in cinemas on March 30. First of all, it’s Sri Rama Navami release. Then, the movie will have 4 days long weekend. Furthermore, it will capitalize on the summer holidays. It’s a perfect time for the film’s release in all the languages.”

Speaking about the latest poster of Dasara, it features Nani in a massy look and there’s dust all over his body. The messy hair and the liquor bottle in his hand showcase the ruggedness of the character he plays along with a portrait of yesteryear popular Silk Smitha in the background.

The source also revealed details about Nani’s character adding, “It’s a first-of-its-kind story and Nani will be seen in a never seen before character. Coming out of his comfort zone, Nani is playing a rustic character in the movie. He underwent a mass and rugged makeover to play this character. His Telangana dialect in the film’s announcement video stunned one and all. It will be a feast to see him uttering mass dialogues throughout the movie”.

The entire lead cast is currently busy shooting for the film in Hyderabad as the makers resumed work on August 24. As for the film’s story, it is set in a village situated in Singareni Coal Mines in Godavarikhani (Telangana) in the Peddapalli district.

Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar, and Zarina Wahab are the important cast of the film. Music will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan whereas Sathyan Sooryan ISC will be handling the cinematography. Navin Nooli is the editor and Avinash Kolla is the production designer. As for Dasara, it will be releasing in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages on March 30, 2023.
