Premam director Alphonse Puthren returns after a break of 7 years; drops the teaser of Gold featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara

Alphonse Puthren directed Malayalam film Premam which was released in 2015 had not only appealed to the masses in Kerala but gained popularity across India. The film which took us through the love life of a young man through different phases of his life was appreciated for its narrative, music, and performances. Now, seven years after the acclaimed film, Alphonse Puthren has dropped the teaser of his next which will mark his third directorial. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara in the lead along with several other actors.

On Tuesday, the team of Gold dropped the exciting teaser of the film. In the teaser, we see Prithviraj confronting a gang of people who are up to some shady business. He calls them out and heads out to bash them single-handedly. The slow-motion walk and the exciting background score which is a Alphonse Puthren trademark just adds on to the scene. The teaser also introduces us to Nayanthara as Sumangali Unnikrishnan who is seen enjoying her popcorn with a sinister look. The film also stars Roshan Mathew, Lalu Alex, Chemban Vinod, Baburaj, Mallika Sukumaran, Vinay Forrt, and many more. The film will also see several special appearances.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj is waiting for the release of Jana Gana Mana, which is expected to release in theatres in April. Nayanthara will be seen next in Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which is set to hit screens on April 28.
