Rajinikanth celebrates his 73rd birthday with his family including his grandsons : Bollywood News

Rajinikanth, who generally prefers to keep a low profile unlike his larger-than-life film avatars, decided to celebrate his birthday in the simplest way. While the megastar has been receiving wishes from fans across the world, industry insiders, other superstars and co-stars, the actor preferred to keep his 73rd birthday celebrations quite low-key and rejoiced the special day with his family.

In a recent photo which has been doing the rounds on social media, Rajinikanth is seen cutting his special 73rd birthday cake with his wife Latha, daughters Soundarya and Aishwarya Rajinikanth and also his grandsons, Yatra, Linga, and Veer. While Soundarya’s husband Vishagan too attended the celebrations, Aishwarya’s former husband Dhanush was not a part of it. However, the Vaathi actor did take to social media, earlier today, to share a special birthday wish for the megastar. Amid all the wishes and celebrations, we also hear that a throng of fans gathered outside the megastar’s residence in Chennai to wish him on this special day.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajinikanth is expected to have signed two major projects. After the grand success of Jailer, the superstar will be joining hands with TJ Gnanavel for the film titled Vettaiyan and it will also feature an ensemble cast of Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Kannada actor Kishore, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, among others along with Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan also featuring in a small but pivotal role in the film. Besides that, the actor also has an untitled venture with Lokesh Kanagaraj which is currently being referred to as Thalaivar 171. Apart from all these, the megastar will also be making an extended cameo in his daughter Aishwarya’s much awaited entertainer Lal Salaam.
