Rajinikanth enthusiasts anticipating his on-screen charisma will have to be patient as the release of his upcoming film, Lal Salaam, originally slated for a Pongal 2024 premiere, has been deferred. Following his last blockbuster venture, Jailer, the megastar's fans were eagerly awaiting the festive release. However, the filmmakers have opted for a slight delay, pushing the debut to February 9, 2024.
Lyca Productions took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to announce the new release date and dropped a new poster.

The decision to delay the film's release remains unknown. Originally slated to compete with Dhanush's Captain Miller and Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan, the clash fueled intense social media chatter between their respective fan bases. Lal Salaam's delay heightens the intensified showdown between Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan at the box office.
Rajinikanth essays the role of Moideen Bhai and has an extended appearance in Aishwarya Rajinikanth's directorial. With music composed by A R Rahman, Lal Salaam stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles along with Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, and Thangadurai in pivotal roles.
