Ram Gopal Varma says KGF 2 is ‘HORROR film for Bollywood’; Yash is ‘machine gunning all the Bollywood stars opening collections’

Ram Gopal Varma as a RGV, is a divisive film director who knows how to command attention. The outspoken filmmaker took to social media to praise KGF: Chapter 2 and its director, Prashanth Neel, for showcasing the Kannada film industry's true potential. There is no doubt that director Prashanth Neel's magnum opus KGF: Chapter 1 starring Yash boosted the Kannada film industry's morale, and the sequel KGF: Chapter 2 is now in theatres.

In a series of tweets on Friday, the filmmaker took dig at Bollywood for not able to bring box office successes like South films. “@prashanth_neel‘s #KGF2 is not just a gangster film but It’s also a HORROR film for the Bollywood industry and they will have nightmares about it’s success for years to come,” he wrote on Twitter.

In another tweet, he said that Yash is practically destroyed whole of Bollywood with his massy stardom and blockbuster movie. “Like very much how Rocky Bhai comes to Mumbai to machine gun the villains, @TheNameIsYash is literally machine gunning all the Bollywood stars opening collections and it’s final collections will be a nuclear bomb thrown on Bollywood from Sandalwood,” he continued.

Ram Gopal Varma compared Bollywood to KGF 2 and Baahubali 2 on Twitter, writing, "What do you think the Hindi film industry (a.k.a. Bollywood) will be thinking about how a Kannada-dubbed film #KGF2 and a Telugu-dubbed film #Bahubali2 have the biggest openings in the history of Hindi cinema???"

KGF – Chapter 2 (Hindi) has crossed Rs. 100 crore already at the box office. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Srinidhi Shetty. It is directed by Prashanth Neel.
