Shruti Haasan has been dabbling with music and acting as she takes out time to pursue her passion and love for both professions simultaneously. Apart from composing, the actress decided to go a step further by unveiling her music video in collaboration with her father Kamal Haasan and filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. With many reviews coming her way for her music video titled ‘Inimel’, Shruti Haasan seems to be in no mood to take a break and has begun work on her next project, Chennai Story.

Although not much details have been revealed about the film, the recent post made by Shruti Haasan about this venture seems to have garnered eyeballs among fans and followers. The actress shared a glimpse of the film's mahurat shot on her Instagram story and going by the same, it is believed that the film will not only be directed by an international filmmaker but it is also expected to have an international team. This marks Shruti's third international outing post in the Treadstone series and The Eye.

Chennai Story is expected to have Shruti Haasan immersing herself in a narrative which promises to captivate audiences and offer a unique cinematic experience. The film's storyline, set against the backdrop of Chennai, is poised to showcase the city's essence while weaving together compelling narratives and characters but the role the actress will be essaying is yet to be revealed.

On the other hand, speaking of her other professional commitments, apart from her international projects, Shruti Haasan is gearing up for Dacoit which will feature her alongside Adivi Sesh and is expected to be a Telugu-Hindi bilingual. The actress also has Salaar 2: Shouryanga Parvam with Prabhas, with her name also being associated to the much-awaited film Toxic starring Kannada superstar Yash.
