On Thursday, the teaser of the upcoming Kannada film Vikrant Rona was released, coinciding with Sudeep’s 50th birthday. The video takes us to an imaginary world straight out of a comic book.

The teaser begins with the voice of a child narrating a story and soon we are shifted to the dark world of Phantom. Then the hero arrives is style and takes on the villain. Going by the teaser, it seems like a movie which commands to be seen on the big screen. The film will also be released in the 3D format, making the theatrical release inevitable.

Sudeep took to his Instagram handle and made the announcement of Vikrant Rona’s teaser. He wrote, “Instagram. It's time for 'The Deadman's Anthem'. #VikrantRonaGlimpse Out Now #HappyBirthdayKichchaSudeep.” Director Anup Bhandari also shared the same poster on his Instagram handle.

Last year in August, Vikrant Rona went into production at a studio in Hyderabad. Director Anup shot the film entirely in the studio keeping in mind the then-existing Covid-19 restrictions.

Currently, the movie is in it’s post production. Vikrant Rona also stars Nirup Bhandari, debutante Neetha Ashok, Ravishankar Gowda, Madhusudan Rao, Vasuki Vaibhav and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film will release in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.

The makers of the film are yet to announce the release date.
