Suriya and RJ Balaji announce their next film together with an official poster

Suriya is currently gearing up for the release of Kanguva and also has the untitled Suriya 44 in the pipeline.

With two projects in hand, Suriya has been quite busy with the shoot schedules of the same for the past couple of years. However, on Monday, the actor decided to take a step ahead and unveil a new announcement about Suriya45 leaving fans excited. While there has been quite a bit of buzz about the Tamil superstar collaboration with filmmaker RJ Balaji, now, the duo have confirmed on social media that they are indeed joining hands for Suriya’s next and they have also roped in A R Rahman as the music composer.

Sharing this exciting update on the social media platform X on October 14, Suriya posted a aesthetic photo of several South Indian Traditional Steel Billhook aka Iron Aruval with small bells on its side along with a Vel in the centre and all of them seem to be adorned with tripundra (three lines of Vibhuti with Kumkum placed in the centre) which is generally donned by Lord Shiva devotees. The actor shared this poster on social media with the caption, “Thrilled” whereas RJ Balaji wrote, “We promise you all a BLOCKBUSTER entertainer (fire emoji)”. Produced under the banner Dream Warrior Pictures, this untitled drama which is being referred to as Suriya45, will see Suriya collaborating with A R Rahman after the duo joined hands for chartbuster albums like Sillunu Oru Kaadhal and 24.

Meanwhile, Suriya is currently gearing up for the release of Kanguva. The film is expected to be set in two completely different time periods and marks the Tamil debut of Bobby Deol along with Disha Patani. The film is slated for release on November 14 in several languages including all South languages and Hindi. Apart from that, he recently also wrapped up the shoot of the highly-awaited gangster drama directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Starring Pooja Hegde as the leading lady, the film referred to as Suriya44 is expected to be set in the 80s-90s era.
