Thalapathy Vijay contributes a total of Rs. 1.3 crore towards coronavirus relief funds : Bollywood News

Tamil actor Vijay has pledged a total amount of Rs. 1.30 crore towards coronavirus relief efforts. Like several other celebrities, Vijay too has made his contribution to various funds.

Thalapathy Vijay's contribution has been distributed among the PM CARES Fund and the Chief Minister Relief Funds of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Pondicherry. Some amount will also go to the Film Employees Federation of South India(FEFSI).

Here is the breakdown of his contribution:

PM CARES Fund: Rs 25 lakhs

TN CM Relief Fund: Rs 50 lakhs

Kerala CM Relief Fund: Rs. 10 lakhs

Karnataka CM Relief Fund: Rs. 10 lakhs

Andhra CM relief Fund: Rs. 5 lakhs

Telangana CM Relief Fund: Rs. 5 lakhs

Pondicherry CM Relief Fund: Rs. 5 lakhs

FEFSI: Rs 25 lakhs

An additional amount has been donated to fan clubs of the actor in order to directly help the affected people.

On the work front, Vijay’s film Master was scheduled to release on April 9, 2020. However, owing to the pandemic the release has been pushed indefinitely.
