Two men posing as actor Arya dupe Sri Lankan woman of Rs 65 lakhs; get arrested by cybercrime wing of the Chennai city police : Bollywood News

The cyber cell officials of Chennai police have arrested two men for posing as renowned Kollywood actor Arya and duping a Germany based Sri Lankan Tamil woman of Rs 65 lakhs under the false pretext of marrying her. After realizing that she had been cheated the woman immediately approached the cybercrime wing police and they nabbed two suspects named Mohammad Arman and Mohammad Hussaini from Pulianthope. They were caught jointly by cybercrime officials and a lady police inspector by tracking their money going into a business and IP addresses used during a chat with the woman.

The cops arrested the accused from their residences in Pulianthope and will be kept in custody till Wednesday. The cybercrime wing police had first called actor Arya for questioning and based on the statements given by him it was concluded that the woman had been tricked by the fraudsters. The actor was summoned twice and fully cooperated with the investigation. The impersonated crooks were tracked and arrested accordingly.
