Varun Tej joins hands with Karuna Kumar for VT14; film to be launched on July 27

VT14 is expected to be a period drama set against the backdrop of the 1960s.

Varun Tej has been doing some exciting projects of late and we hear that the actor is ensuring each project is different from the other, in terms of story and his character. The actor has signed his 14th movie to be directed by Karuna Kumar. While the film is yet to be titled, it is being referred to as VT14. And now the latest update on that front is that the film will have its grand launching ceremony in Hyderabad on July 27.

While the makers will be unveiling a glimpse into the world of VT14 in the coming week, more details regarding the launch is awaited. Talking about the film, it is a period drama set in the backdrop of the 1960s. A source close to the film opened up about this untitled venture saying, “The team will be taking extra care to get the milieu and the feel of the 60s. Karuna Kumar, who shot to fame with Palasa, has readied a powerful script to present Varun Tej in a never-seen-before character. Not only will the actor be undergoing a completely different makeover to play an author-backed character but the makers have also roped in a team of talented technicians to handle different crafts to lend as much authenticity to the script and the era it is set in.”

Produced by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala, VT14 will be mounted on a massive scale under the banner of Vyra Entertainments and it is considered to be one of the highest-budgeted movies of Varun Tej. Further details on the casting and crew are expected to be revealed by the makers soon. Besides this, Varun is also gearing up for the release of Gandeevadhari Arjuna which is slated for release next month.
