Varun Tej recently announced his next film VT13 which is expected to be a war based drama but further details on the film are kept under wraps.

Last seen in Ghani, Varun Tej seems to have decided to experiment with different genres of films. The actor recently gave a glimpse of his next and we can assert that it looks quite different from the usual massy and commercial films. Varun has signed his next film which is VT13 after kicking off VT12 with filmmaker Praveen Sattaru. While the details of this war-based drama are being kept under wraps, the actor recently shared a sneak peek of it on social media. Moreover, sources claim that the film is based on true events.

Varun Tej took to social media to release a small video announcing his new film but hasn’t divulged many details. The sneak-peak video of VT13 shows the actor reading a script with curiosity. The video features Varun with a delightful smile on his face. As the video progresses, we can see Varun expressing his satisfaction with the script. He then keeps a toy aircraft in the script and it also features the sound effects of a plane taking off, which indicates that the film might be based on the Air Force. Sharing the video on Twitter, he wrote, “Touch the sky with Glory!” along with an Indian National Flag emoji.

A source close to the film spoke about the announcement video adding, “The video suggests that the film’s story is set in a war backdrop and is based on true events. The quote about bravery showcases the valour of the character. Varun Tej has done lots of homework and has prepared well for the first-of-its-kind role. However, more details on the film are awaited.”

The film is expected to go on floors on September 19 and it is yet to be seen which other actors will be a part of the star cast.
