Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur starrer VD13 to get its official title on October 18; makers to unveil a small teaser too

VD13 will bring together Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur for the first time on the big screen.

The upcoming Vijay Deverakonda starrer, produced under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, has already gone on floors and the shoot is expected to be progressing at a fast pace. Mrunal Thakur of Sita Ramam fame is playing the female lead in this film which is currently being referred to as VD13 and interestingly, it also marks SVC's 54th film. Now the official update on the film front is that the makers have locked a title and will be unveiling the same this week, on October 18.

The makers of VD13 took to social media to announce that the film’s official naamakaranam will be announced through a small title teaser on October 18th at 6.30 PM. The announcement note read, "From the pair that brought you humongous blockbuster entertainer Geetha Govindam. You will witness something even more special. The official naamakaranam for this special project will be announced through a small title teaser. Date- October 18, Time- 18:30.”

Further talking about VD13, the film is said to be a family entertainer and it is expected to have a grand release during the festive season Sankranti festival in January next year. Considering that Vijay Deverakonda has collaborated with director Parasuram Petla after Geetha Govindam, this untitled venture, which marks their reunion, is expected to ride high on expectations. Adding to it, Sri Venkateswara Creations banner has also come on board for the venture. This movie is being produced by ace producer Dil Raju and Shirish whereas, Vasu Varma is acting as the creative producer.

As for the rest of the technical team, the cinematography will be handled by KU Mohanan, music is composed by Gopisunder, AS Prakash will be the art director, and Marthand K Venkatesh has been roped in as the editor.
