Vijay Deverakonda spreads ‘Kushi’ as he presents cheques worth Rs. 1 lakh to 100 lucky families

Vijay Deverakonda also made a heartfelt speech to his fans wherein he revealed that he would continue to help them for as long as he can work and do films.

Vijay Deverakonda, who is riding high on the success of his recent romantic drama Kushi co-starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, not only expressed gratitude towards his fans but also presented many with cash prizes. Yes, you heard it right! Vijay presented 100 lucky families with cheques worth Rs. 1 lakh at an event, held in Hyderabad, which was not only attended by VD but also Shiva Nirvana, producers Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Myth Movie Makers were a part of it.

At the event, Producer Y Ravi Shankar addressed fans and expressed gratitude towards them for the overwhelming response given to Kushi saying, “You know how happy the success of the movie Kushi has been for all of us. The film has become so successful because of your support. We are happy that Vijay has taken this initiative to share our happiness with you. Our production is in such a good position because of the love given by the audience and fans. It is a good to see Vijay giving it back to them. I hope the rest of the industry will follow this too.”

Producer Naveen Yerneni too joined in the interaction as he continued, “Our Kushi has become a super hit with gross collections exceeding Rs. 100 crores. We thank the audience and fans for such a good response. I am happy that Vijay started this initiative of bringing together hundreds of people and donating money with our movie. Hopefully, our step will encourage everyone to do such good deeds.”

Director Shiva Nirvana added, “In these two years that I travelled with Vijay, the fans showed me some of the love they showed him. Thanks to everyone for making Kushi such a huge success. I am happy that Vijay is starting an effort to share our love with 100 of you through my film. Because our movie got good response from all places in South, we have selected people not only from Telugu states but also from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and other Southern states.

He further gushed about Vijay as he continued, “There is one thing about Vijay that has really impressed me. Success or failure, he will be the same. He stands by his word. Vijay's efforts are never flawed. We sincerely hope that this Rs. 1 lakh cheque will serve your needs and bring happiness to all of you.”

In conclusion, Vijay Devarakonda shared, “I want to do many good deeds for you because you guys have been showing me so much love. During my struggling days, in the past where even I have often wondered how nice it would be if someone helped us like this. During my study days, all my friends went on vacation, I used to stay at home because I didn't want to bother my parents by asking them for money. Obviously, my heart was always with them as they were having a gala time during their tour. It would have been nice if someone would have given us some money, especially when we were in need and during the struggle we had to pay the engineering fees for my brother. But I didn't want to ask anyone then.”

He continued, “Having crossed all that and having reached this level as a family, and being able to help you, that is my personal wish. I would be more than happy if this money gives you a little happiness and if I am able to reduce your stress. I will always be glad that I was of some use to you. Don't thank me. I'm Just sharing my love with you.”

“Last time, a few youngsters were sent on a tour. Since the announcement of this program, we have received over 50 thousand applications. But we can only do it for 100 people, every year. But don’t worry. As long as I am strong and as long as I do films, I will continue to support you. Thank you for the love you all show me,” he concluded the note.

Kushi also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the leading lady and marks their second association after Mahanati, in which the two actors were seen in an extended cameo of sorts. The Shiva Nirvana directorial released in multiple languages on September 1.
