Actor Vijay is all set to launch the Thalapathy Vijay Institute through his fan-club-turned-welfare organisation, Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. The institute will be launched on July 15, which is also the birth anniversary of former Tamil Nadu chief minister Kumaraswami Kamaraj.
According to officials, the institute will be set up across 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu. The primary aim of the institute is to provide educational assistance to underprivileged students. The institute will offer free tuition, study materials, and other facilities to students.
This is not the first time that Vijay has undertaken a social initiative. In June, he felicitated toppers of class 10 and 12 board exams from all the districts of Tamil Nadu. His fans also arranged the distribution of food to the poor and needy across Madurai.
The launch of the Thalapathy Vijay Institute is a significant move by Vijay. It shows his commitment to providing education to the underprivileged and his desire to make a positive impact on society.
Speculations around Vijay's foray into politics have been doing the rounds for some time now. However, the actor has not yet made any official announcement about his political ambitions. Only time will tell whether Vijay will enter politics in the future.
Coming to the professional front, the 49-year-old actor was last seen in Varisu, which was released in January this year. He will be next seen in Lokesh Kanagraj’s next, Leo.
