Vijay Sethupathi confirms his participation in Masterchef : Bollywood News

Tamil Superstar Vijay Sethupathi will be hosting the next season of the popular culinary show Masterchef. Confirming the same he tells me, “As you know Masterchef is an international cooking franchise. They have their show in many countries in many different languages. I will be hosting the Tamil version of Masterchef.”

Reportedly Vijay has been paid a staggering amount of money to be on the show. He shrugs off the finances of the deal. “I never accept any offer for the money. It’s the connect with the people that pushes me to be part of any film, or for that matter any show, like Masterchef. In fact I have been hosting another television show Namma Oru Hero for two years. This is a Tamil weekly show where I bring into the limelight unsung heroes, the working-class soldiers, the doctors, nurses, school teachers…For me they are the real heroes.”

Is his interest in Masterchef connected to his interest in cooking? “I am more into eating than cooking. But food is always interesting for me,” quips Vijay Sethupati.
