Yuva Rajkumar, who made his acting debut in 2024, has decided to part ways with his wife Sridevi Byrappa. However, it has been reported that the divorce proceedings of the South celebrity couple has turned murky with several allegations that they have levelled against each other including one of extra-marital affair. Sridevi has taken to social media to share a statement to clarify about ‘the false narratives’ doing the rounds.

Taking to Instagram, Sridevi Byrappa has shared a post where she has shared a statement in Kannada and English saying, “"It is very unfortunate and hurtful to see a person who is supposed to maintain professional decorum is yielding into character assassinating a woman in public with no truth in it. I am deeply disappointed with how this has been handles specially given the false narrative.” She added, “"I completely remained silent and maintained my dignity inspite of all that I went through in the last few months. But they did this. I continue to trust that truth and justice will prevail”.

Sridevi and Yuva Rajkumar have issued statements accusing each other

In the statement issued by Sridevi’s lawyer, she has accused Yuva Rajkumar of having an extra-marital affair with his co-star along with mental harassment and torture. On the other hand, Yuva too has issued a notice accusing her of misusing the funds of Dr. Rajkumar Academy and of swindling a sum of Rs. 3 crores along with buying properties.

Yuva Rajkumar, who is not only an actor but also a singer and a producer, tied the knot with Sridevi Byrappa on May 26, 2019. While the couple completed five years of marriage this year, they decided to part ways and filed for divorce. Their first hearing was held on June 4.
