A sizzling Lara Dutta is one of the highlights of Blue and she's even more beautiful underwater. A hydrophobic till Blue happened, she trained for the film and is now 'a certified CMAS 1 star diver'. Always the one for a candid confession, Lara admits in her note, "I had a bit of a tough time staying beneath the water for a length of time at first, cause the body would keep coming pooping right back up in a very 'Hello! Here I am!' fashion."
Lara's look in the film is classy western, with a lot of beachwear and there are a lot of pretty sights and sites in the book, which make Lara the hottest eye-candy this season. Indeed, the book is a collectible just for its double spread Lara posters! -

Akshay shares in his note, "I trained myself to be able to handle whatever these guys could throw at me. When there is an entire crew waiting for you to nail a shot, you do not want to be the fool to get it wrong."
The book is resplendent with anecdotes of how the cast and crew risked limb and life in what was turning out to be an arduous but enjoyable underwater shoot. "I just want to say that if this movie gets appreciated half as much as it deserves, I'd be a very happy man. I take my hat off to everyone who made this insane movie come true," concludes Akshay. -

The book gives an aspiring filmmaker like yours truly some ready tips on how to go about shooting underwater. Underwater DOP Pete Zuccarini is quoted. "Making a water movie is 10 times difficult. We had to swim with heavy lights and cables (see top pic), cameras, adjust props and sets, all the while on the sea floor, a hundred feet from the surface. To be efficient, we communicated mostly with hand signals and most importantly, obeyed ascent rates and decompression limits." Quite a mouthful.
The book also offers a crash-course in shark behaviour - "At times, the sharks swam directly into choreographed fight scenes as if on cue; maybe because they were curious and attracted to the rapid thrashing of body parts during the fight scenes."
