This snap has my son Gulal, who is only six years old He always thought that these are actual guns. This snap has him 'examining' this guns, while Sanjay Mishra tried his level best to convince him that they were not real, but were fake! Sanjay's mere presence on the sets simply makes sure that everybody is smiling and working without any tension. He, not just, never sat in his vanity van, but also had even cooked 'baajare ki roti & saag' for the unit. Since then, I call him Sufi!!!!
There are films that get known by their catchy music, while others by their directors, but then there are those that are known for spellbinding acting. However most of all are the ones that get known by all of the above, plus due to its very unique and catchy title.
Phas Gaye Re Obama is one such film that has all the masala that's required of an entertainer. Directed by the name-to-watch-out-for Subhash Kapoor, Bollywood Hungama caught up with the man himself for an exclusive 'Behind the Scenes' of the film, wherein Subhash tell the readers about all the hard work, sweat and the madness that went behind the making of Phas Gaye Re Obama.

This memorable snap was taken on Amole's fifth day of shoot, when we were shooting at a bungalow in Mahableshwar. What was very impressive about Amole is that he sees the character in totality and constantly tries to make him relatable to that character. He also tries to use surroundings in a scene. In this snap, we are trying to figure out on what position he should be sitting, what newspapers should he reading, so on and so forth! On a confessional front, I have to confess that I have really learnt a lot from him during the making of the film.
Neha Dhupia, who plays a gangster, in this film, calls herself as the female Gabbar Singh! Keeping that as the 'background', we wanted her to look very believable, despite a certain amount of larger-than-life persona of her character! That's why we decided on making sculpturing her hobby. So much so that we even had a professional trainer for her!
Those who have seen the film will sure agree with me that, this is one of the most hilarious scenes in the second half in the film where 'Munni Madam' gets really angry and threatens one and all. This snap shows us, who were busy trying to figure out how to make the scene 'seriously funny'! It was always lot of discussion and 'give & take' while shooting with Manu, Rajat, and Neha together.
There is a scene in the film wherein Neha is supposed to fire a bullet in this scene at Sanjay Misra. And to my horror, I found that she was scared and worried about Sanjay getting injured or something! And trust me friends, it was not just her, but also Sanjay, who was scared and concerned at the same time. It really took me some time to convince and 'fire' a few test fires before we could can the shot. All of this made this shot one of the most funny scenes I that ever shot!
