Besides the basic ‘nok-jhok’ moments, the song has been shot in the bylanes of Lucknow, to be more specific… at the Lucknow court. From what we hear, filmmaker Subhash provided his full support when art director Gautam Sen built a realistic set of a court on an existing structure.
The film will also see Akshay Kumar dancing with a steel bucket and one can get a glimpse of the same in the photograph. The song has been choreographed by Bosco Martis and is composed by Manj Musik, who
co-wrote it with singer Raftaar. According to Subhash Kapoor, the song represents a quintessential Holi celebration in Uttar Pradesh amidst the bhaang, the playful games in the mud, the makeshift colour pool and the crowded bylanes.
Besides Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi, Jolly LLB 2 also stars Annu Kapoor. The film is slated to release on February 10 this year.
For the shoot, it is being said that over 500 kilos of eco-friendly colours were used and about 400 dancers were a part of the song. While 100 of them travelled from Mumbai, some of the local dance schools in Lucknow were more than happy to send some of their students for the shoot, revealed Subhash Kapoor.
Set amidst the backdrop of the colourful festival of Holi, the song features Akshay Kumar with his leading lady Huma Qureshi who plays the role of his wife in the film.
