While there another custom is that of people making an offering in the form of a chadar that is spread over the shrine, seen here Bachchan says, "Holding the 'chadar' that shall be spread on the shrine as an offering ..."
With the holy visit complete, Bachchan returned to Mumbai where he continues with the promotions of his next film
Divine intervention and spiritual guidance is something that most of us require when faced with something that seems impossible. Well our Bollywood stars are no different, and the legendary superstar Amitabh Bachchan recently made it evident when he visited Ajmer Shariff post the fulfillment of a wish that he had asked for.
The actor who blogged saying, "In prayer and in peace … in divinity and the unknown force ... in the completion of a promise made 40 years ago ... in Ajmer Sharif to untie the 'dhaga' ... the scared thread that one ties at the shrine. I had visited the 'dargah' soon after my entry in 1969 made a wish and tied a thread. The belief is that when the wish is fulfilled, you return to the shrine and untie a thread, any thread. It is not possible for you to remember which one you had tied, for there are millions of them. So the custom is that you tie one and open any other as a gesture of completion."
Being the prominent celeb that he is and all the media coverage the family has enjoyed since the news of him becoming a grandfather, it was obvious that fans flocked the holy place just to get a glimpse of the on screen god. Seen here Bachchan says, "That is me in the pink scarf around the head ... tied by the respected inside the shrine and those that conduct the ceremonies inside..."
