Known as the numero uno actress of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone who swept away all the prestigious awards last year for her impeccable performance in Piku and Bajirao Mastani, is all set to make her Hollywood debut with none other than Xander Cage aka Vin Diesel in the third installment of XXX. While this film has been the talk to the town ever since its inception, Deepika has taken yet another step towards global fame with her photoshoot for the American magazine Paper.
The September edition of the Paper magazine features Deepika Padukone as 'Bollywood's Megastar' on the cover in a velvety Fendi dress with key hole and ruffle details. Smoky eyes, messy pony and minimal accessories compliment this dark yet elegant look. Starting from her journey to Hollywood, the actress has spoken about her experience of working in a different environment, her perception towards success outside India, her love for American rom-coms and of course, her brush with social media, especially Instagram in an interview for the magazine. -

Praising the fact that Indian film industry has come a long way, the actress added that she found several similarities with Hollywood. "It was amazing for me to see how many similarities there were between the two industries and I think that says a lot about the Indian film industry and something to feel extremely proud of," said the actress in the interview for the magazine. She also spoke about how Indians would connect to her Hollywood debut saying, "When I came back home, I remember telling a lot of my friends that from an emotional point of view and from a storyline point of view, xXx is exactly like any other Indian movie I think other than the fact that this movie is going to be in English. I'm very certain that the whole of India is going to connect with this movie."
