Besides Deepika Padukone and Vin Diesel, xXx: The Return of Xander Cage also stars Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev and Tony Jaa. The film is slated to release in India on January 14, whereas its international release is scheduled to be on January 19 this year. xXx: The Return of Xander Cage will see Deepika Padukone playing the role of lethal secret operation agent named Serena Unger. On the other hand, Vin Diesel will be portraying the role of a specially-trained government operative in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, which happens to be the third instalment of the ‘xXx’ series, the first two films being XXX and XXX: State Of The Union.
Besides xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, Deepika Padukone will also be seen playing the title role in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed Padmavati, which also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
Readers may recall that Deepika Padukone had ‘invited’ the action star Vin Diesel over social media to come to India. She had tweeted (in Hindi) stating “India is frantically waiting for you. We'll meet soon on January 12 and 13”.

Today morning saw the arrival of the international star Vin Diesel, who has come to India to promote his upcoming film xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. Accompanying Vin Diesel was Bollywood’s very own Deepika Padukone, who walked out of the airport hand-in-hand with the action star. Besides them, there was also DJ Caruso, the director of xXx: The Return of Xander Cage who had accompanied them.
No sooner did the (most awaited) trio landed at the Mumbai airport in a private jet; they were welcomed with the traditional Indian aarti and a tikka which was applied on their foreheads. As for their schedule, the trio is expected to spend their entire day promoting their film xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, which also happens to be Deepika Padukone’s debut Hollywood film. Deepika Padukone and Vin Diesel’s schedule for today includes the press conference for the film, which will be followed by the film’s premiere.
