This is a very dear picture of mine, as it's very close to my heart. I was in my 11th or 12th standard, when this snap was taken. I shot this snap for a friend of mine Hemant, who is a designer, and he wanted me and Pooja to pose for him. This snap was taken in Jaipur to 'display his collections' apparently! I think the modelling streak comes from there (laughs) .
How was life post your debut film Humdum?
The response was very sweet. At the same time, I did not become a superstar overnight.
Were you into sports?
Only on sports day in school.
Did you ever work in an office: the typical 9-5 job?
While I was in school, I used to work in an export company. -

Lastly, what's your line-up of films?
I have two releases early next year: Tum Milo Toh Sahi, with Nana Patekar, Dimple Kapadia, Suniel Shetty and others, and the next one is called Allah Ke Banday with Sharman Joshi and gang. Besides all this, I have a Kannada film which releases on 11th December. It's called Marialli Jyotialli and stars the 'Golden Star' Ganesh. Wish me luck everyone! -

As you can see, this is indeed a very funny picture, wherein I am dressed as a Sardar. I basically was a member of an international organisation called AIESEC, an international student body. And every year we had this annual National Congress. This snap was taken during one of the programmes, where each one of us had to cross dress and do something weird. And you know what! I had a crush on this guy and I badly wanted to prove him that I am so cool (laughs). That's why I thought of dressing up as a Sardar and impressing him!
What's your take on Bollywood?
It's changed big time. Lot of opportunities have opened up as compared to then.
Any regrets in life so far?
I regret doing Sunday. It did not do anything for me. -

This is a very funny picture. It was taken during the trip to Nainital, which was taken during my eleventh standard. I used to study in a school called 'Vidyashram' in Jaipur. This was the first trip ever that was organised, when none of us were familiar with each other, because it had only been four months in school. The teachers had planned this trip maybe to familiarise us with each other. The fact was that nobody used to get alongwith anybody. Everybody used to hate each other because we were from the girls' school and here were with a co-ed school. The resultant of this trip was that I made my best friend in that trip. Her name is Pooja (the one on my right) .
Any teenage crushes?
Of course yes. There was this very good looking Sindhi boy. I do not want to name him though. But I do confess that I had a massive crush on him for two years. Even though he knew that I had a crush on him, we are good friends now. We meet and chat on and off. I used to send him cards. It was a childish thing to do. I am aware of that (smiles)
Any proposals that you have got so far that really stands out?
Oh yes! But before that, let me tell you that I have been proposed a zillion times. There have been incidents of people sending soft toys to my house, audio recorded tapes, or coming in my school bus and giving me cards and bunch of roses! But the one that really stands out is this guy (who was the psycho type), who stood in the middle of the road and told me that he wants to be friends with me. To top it all, he claimed that he was my brother's friend, when my brother wasn't around! In my 11th standard, he told his father that he wants to marry me! And the horror of horror was that when I had gone to somebody's birthday party, his niece came up to me and started calling me 'Chachi'.
