This is one more murder mystery with a location in its title. While Antop Hill is quite a prominent locality in Mumbai, 88 Antop Hill despite having quite a catchy title went unnoticed. Like other films where the film name is a location / address / locality, 88 Antop Hill is also a whodunit and stars Atul Kulkarni, Shweta Menon, Rahul Dev and Suchitra Pillai. The film is directed by Kushan Nandy. For any murder mystery to strike a chord with the audience it ought to have a strong climax but here is where the film faltered. Forget the rest of the country, looks like even the people of Antop Hill didn't bother to check out this flick

15 Park Avenue
Yet another film, where the title denoted an address, but thankfully unlike other films, this one wasn't a horror / suspense flick and also doesn't have a corny title. The film directed by award winning filmmaker Aparna Sen has some superlative actors like Shabana Azmi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Waheeda Rehman and Rahul Bose. The film touches the sensitive topic of schizophrenia and Konkona's portrayal won her a lot of critical acclaim. In the film, 15 Park Avenue is the imaginary address which Konkona believes to be her home. She lives in a delusional world after a tragic incident takes place in her life. Despite being embellished with sensitive direction and powerful performances, the film achieved more critical acclaim than commercial success.

This spooky flick from television's numero uno production house - Balaji- scared the audiences away from the theatres. The story which starts off from a college campus (Sohail Khan once again playing a college student) enters into eerie mode as a group of friends (Sohail, Isha Koppikar, and a host of T.V. actors) take shelter in a dilapidated bungalow called Krishna Cottage. What happens thereafter is a string of murders. Despite a few moments which do send a chill down your spine, this flick didn't find enough takers and needless to say, sank without a trace.

36 China Town
This whodunit from the Masters of the Thriller Genre, Abbas-Mustan, failed to generate any chills or thrills from the movie-going audience. While some attributed it to the fact that the film was more of a comedy than a thriller, some believed that the climax didn't have the required punch. And in case you are wondering that 36 China Town is some locality in a foreign country, you are wrong. 36 China Town is in fact the name of a bungalow in some part of Goa where a murder is committed. Needless to say all the characters who were seen in and around the bungalow become prime suspects in the murder case. In spite of starring big names like Akshaye Khanna, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, the film didn't really set the B.O. on fire.

Film titles in Bollywood have derived inspiration from everything, right from Names of protagonists to Numbers to even Addresses. Yes, you read it right; time and again we have some film or the other which is named after a location/ address/ locality. Even this week's release- the Sikandar Kher-Neha Uberoi starrer Woodstock Villa has a bungalow's name in its title. Bollywood Hungama takes a trip down the memory lane and recollects some other films which are named after a location/ address/ locality. While in some of these films, the title does have a special significance, in some it's just for curiosity value. What's more most of these films also have a really amusing tagline.
Woodstock Villa
Sikandar Kher (son of Anupam and Kirron Kher) finally makes his big screen debut with the thriller Woodstock Villa. While the film revolves around most of the typical elements found in any Sanjay Gupta thriller (namely lust, deceit, adultery, murder etc.), one will have to wait and watch what significance the title has in the film. We guess it must be the name of some bungalow where the mysterious activities take place. Incidentally, even producer Sanjay Gupta's own bungalow is named Woodstock Villa. Now we know where he got this title from.
